Preparations under way

Scotland will face France, Ireland and Italy as part of the national team’s preparations for the Rugby World Cup 2015.

The four-match schedule played on consecutive Saturdays from August 15 will begin when Vern Cotter’s men travel to face Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Back-to-back fixtures against Italy will follow in Turin (August 22) and Edinburgh (August 29), before facing France in Paris on September 5.

The World Cup kicks off on September 18, with Scotland starting their Pool B campaign at Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester, against Japan on September 23.
