Positive play puts pressure on top

GALA were in a winning frame of mind at Raeburn Place on Saturday and put Edinburgh Accies to the sword in a 30-8 victory.

George Graham’s men ran in three tries before half-time to turn around 5-20 ahead, while some solid defence in the second half against an Accies team as hungry for the win as they were sent the Maroon Army home smiling.

Tries from Andy McLean, Stevie Cairns, Liam Draycott and Craig Borthwick earned the Maroons their sixth bonus point in seven games to move them back into second place, just two points behind the leaders.
