Former international prop Peter Wright will take over as head coach at Selkirk RFC next season.
The 46-year-old former Scotland internationalist will replace Ally Dickson, who is stepping down after being involved on the coaching side at Philiphaugh since 2012.
Wright has coached Peebles for the past two years since leaving his post as Director of Rugby at Glasgow Hawks in 2012.
Wright won 21 caps for Scotland between 1992-1996, and toured New Zealand with the British & Irish Lions in 1993. A former club player with both Lasswade and Boroughmuir, in 2005 he coached Glasgow Hawks to a BT Premier League and Cup double. He has previously taken charge of the Scotland Under 19 and Under 20 teams.
Selkirk’s director of rugby, Cameron Cochrane said: “I am confident the new coaching set-up can build on the progress made by the senior side in the 2013/2014 campaign.
“Everyone at Philiphaugh would like to thank Ally for the excellent work he has done at the club, and we wish him every success in the future.”
