Peebles can’t bridge gap

With their hosts within a whisker of the top two places in the BT National One table, this was always going to be a big ask for Peebles.

Nevertheless, Drew Moore’s men gave it their all and came back hard in the second half.

Greg Raeburn gave Peebles an early advantage with a penalty goal, but trailed 22-8 at the break, hooker Ryan McConnell having crossed for a try amongst the deluge.

Matt Carryer and Cameron Pye added further tries for Peebles after the break.
