Linden struggle

Dalkeith 28

Hawick Linden 3

PLAYING with an helpful cross-wind in the first half, Linden found themselves down 12 points in as many minutes.

The Volunteer Park men never recovered, and only scored a Stuart Renwick penalty, despite having periods of pressure in the first period.

Linden never got into the second half as their lighter forwards struggled for possession and continually found themselves on the wrong side of the referee’s decisions.

In fact the referee played nine minutes injury time – he must have been enjoying himself.

Certainly, that is something the Linden were not doing, with Dalkeith running in further tries.
