Linden bested after decent start

It looked like Linden would end their season on a high as they took early control and a deserved lead.

However, North Berwick were able to gain ascendancy in the second quarter to take a lead they never lost, despite territorial dominance from the home team after the break.

Only five minutes were on the clock when Kirk Ford stroked over a 45m penalty goal.

Five minutes later, Rory Smith fielded a clearance kick near the touchline and his break kicked off a move that ended in Ryan Elliot finding Ford up in support to go over for a try which he converted himself.

North Berwick started to turn the screw, though, and injuries began to take their toll within the home ranks in the later stages of the game. The Teries just couldn’t crack the visiting defence to gain another score.

Linden end the season in sixth place in BT East League Division One.
