Laidlaw show puts Jed ahead

Eighteen points by Chris Laidlaw led Jed-Forest to a good Championship B win against a stuffy Haddington side in windy conditions at Neilson Park.

The game was tied at seven-all at half-time, though, as Monty Mitchell crashed through the home defence, only for James Ferguson to score for Haddington.

Robert Hogg bagged a try right at the start of the second half, with Laidlaw converting.

And the stand-off capped a fine display with two late tries, also adding both conversions, as Jed claimed the bonus point.
