Kelso glad of winter break

It was touch and go if this match would be on, with locals called in to fork the pitch while Kelso were en route.

But the home side wore the heavy conditions better and although never out of sight, they were fairly comfortable.

For Kelso, Andrew Skeen kicked two penalties in the first half and converted Gary Johnstone’s try in the second.

Kelso now have a winter break until the very important game on January 9, against Aberdeen.
