The Greens travelled to Anniesland on Saturday looking to get a second win on the board in the Premiership.

The visitors looked to have the upper hand early on and winger Scott Peffers seemed certain to score before a try-saving tackle came in from Brendan McGroarty.

Hawks immediately upped their game and tries from George Horne, McGroarty and Finn Gillies, with one conversion from McGroarty, saw them 17-0 to the good at the break.

The second half continued to torture Hawick as Hawks scored a bonus-point try, converted by McGroarty, just three minutes in, through George Horne.

The hosts continued the onslaught with further tries from Tom Steven, McGroarty and Andrew Davidson, with Jack Steele adding two conversions.

Keith Davies and Shaun Muir managed a try apiece for Hawick in the closing stages.
