Boroughmuir remain undefeated after achieving a bonus point victory over a Gala side that struggled in the front row after the late withdrawal of prop Luke Pettie.
The Maroons were forced to field regular hooker Matt Carryer at prop and inevitably their set-piece suffered.
In the event Boroughmuir enjoyed a skewed share of possession that allowed the Meggetland men to make a crisp start with a penalty by Dougie Steele and an early converted try by flanker Andy Rose.
Gala came back into the game with a Graham Spiers try only for Boroughmuir to reassert themselves with a try off scrum ball by number 8 Callum Reid and the conversion by Steele.
Two minutes later wing Grant McConnell crossed Muir’s third try but Gala responded with a Craig Robertson touchdown before the visitors added the bonus point with a second try for Reid and then a late score by Robbie Smith.
