Hawick 23-22 Glasgow Hawks
The Greens had to work hard to overcome Glasgow Hawks’ weight advantage in the scrum and to neutralise the effect of the Glasgow Warriors’ back row players, James Eddie and Tyrone Holmes.
Hawick were first to strike with a cleverly worked try by hooker Lindsay Graham from a five meter line-out. But two penalty goals by Gregor Hunter and then a try for scrum half Paddy Boyer taking advantage of the sin-binned Craig Russell put Hawks ahead.

Hide AdA try by scrum half Sean Goodfellow and the conversion by Lee Armstrong gave Hawick a slender lead only for a third penalty goal by Hunter to give Hawks a half time lead of 14-12.
Two penalties by Armstrong to one by Hunter restored the lead for Hawick who then extended their advantage with a try by full back Ally Weir from slick backline handling.
Hawks hit back with a try from a driving maul by Finlay Gillies but the failure to convert the score left Hawick ahead by a single point, the final margin of victory.
