Wet weather, it’s just not cricket

Rain disrupted the start of the cricket season last Saturday with only three East League fixtures featuring Borders teams taking place.

In Division One, Gala made a confident start to their campaign with a 76-run victory over Edinburgh South at Inch Park, while St Boswells were beaten by seven wickets at West Lothian.

Peebles County were also beaten by seven wickets in their game against Murrayfield DAFs in Division Five.

Langholm secured all eight points against Edenhall in the first Eden Valley league match.
