Who in your sport has inspired you most and why?:

Many athletes have inspired me, from Kilian Jornet to Mo Farah. Just seeing how hard they work to achieve what they’ve aimed for is great motivation.

Favourite sporting moment as a spectator:

Watching all the amazing moments at the London 2012 Olympics.

Best thing about your sport:

The team spirit, enthusiasm of all the runners, spectators and organisers, and the amazing places you run in.

What do you do to “tune-in” immediately before a competition?: I like to listen to some music, relax with team-mates and then go through a familiar warm-up.

If you had the chance to change one thing in your sport, what would it be?:

To have more recognition for mountain running, although it has been increasingly publicised recently, which is good to see.

Venue at which you most aspire to compete:

Anywhere with great mountains and trails. It would be great to run in the Alps and New Zealand.

If not in this sport, would like to compete in:

I’ve always wanted to try cross-country skiing. I’ve done a few triathlons before, and enjoyed them, too.

Current most played song or track on your i-pod or MP3: Bad Blood – Bastille.

... but can’t stand: Heavy metal and rap.

Other interests away from my sport: Reading, food, finding out what’s going on in the world of sport, food, meeting with friends … food!

Fantasy away day: I probably wouldn’t be able to fully appreciate a trip to Alps or New Zealand for just a day, so a track/rally car driving experience and a flying lesson.
