Preston Lodge1

Reivers II continued their undefeated record on Saturday by beating Preston Lodge in a top-of-the-table clash.

The hosts dominated from the start, pinning their visitors back in their own half.

Quick passing allowed the Reivers to heap the pressure on and they were able to capitalise in the opening minutes when Sara Robson hit the ball past the visiting keeper from a Kirsty Sharkey penalty corner.

A second goal soon followed, this time Sara Robson playing through to elder sister Ashley, who got a touch to guide the ball into the net.

Stacey Tennant, in goal for Reivers, was a spectator for the majority of the first half, but could only watch as Preston Lodge managed to pull a goal back with their first real chance at goal, a great strike from a penalty corner move to make it 2-1 at the break.

After the restart, the visitors started creating more chances at goal, but some fantastic work from the Reivers defence prevented further damage.

The game was put to bed when Ashley Robson had a strike saved by the keeper, but Skye Shiell scored from the rebound.

ADC Carnegie2

A single goal from Ashley Robson was not enough to keep title contenders Carnegie at bay on Sunday.

The hosts kept fighting right up until the final whistle, but were denied a much-needed goal, resulting in their first defeat of the season.

This result means Carnegie move up to first place in East Division One, pushing Reivers into second with two games in hand.
