Festive grappling returns to Galashiels
The World Wide Wrestling League returns to the Borders this month for W3L Wrestling Showdown, an entertainment-packed festive afternoon of American-style wrestling action.
The event, at Mac Arts in Galashiels on Saturday, December 28, will feature former World Of Sport star, and
wrestling legend Blondie Barratt – whom older fans may remember as the
Tag Team Partner of Kendo Nagasaki.
Barratt will be joined by some of the biggest names on W3L’s touring roster, including reigning W3L
Heavyweight Champion Mike Musso, who will defend the championship.
The occasion will also feature a women’s rematch, as the previous event in Grangemouth saw Emily Hayden get herself disqualified
as she battled local Jedburgh star Anistasia.
This time, there will be no disqualifications and the Women’s Championship will be on the line as Anistasia attempts to win the championship in her home region.
Doors open at 2.30pm, with the first match set to take to the ring at 3pm.
Tickets are currently on sale from www.W3LWrestling.com and local shop Guess What?
