Two three-day summer camps were organised for all those aged 16 years and under during the last two weeks of the summer holidays.

Over 60 members and six club coaches showed great enthusiasm in returning to the pitch.

Despite the varied weather, a very productive six days of hockey was enjoyed by both coaches and players alike.

Following Scottish Hockey’s new guidelines, the pitch was split into four quadrants and the children were grouped according to age to work on both skills and game play.

All participants worked hard to improve their game and made great progress as a result.

Thanks were expressed to Mark Forsyth and Dez Wilson, from Live Borders, for facilitating the arrangements required for the camps to go ahead at Kelso High School and ensuring the squad had everything it needed for starting back safely.

Parents and children were also thanked for reading all the information given out and adhering to the new procedures for Kelso’s safe return to the pitch.

The club is looking forward to welcoming all existing members back to training over the next few weeks.
