The Whyte Vallelujah Enduro kicks off the 2017 season of cycling events for the annual TweedLove Bike Festival, which is headlined this year by the largest cycle demo event and expo in the whole of the United Kingdom – to be held on Tweed Green from June 9-11.

TweedLove is now one of the most important tourism events for the Scottish Borders, bringing in £1 million for the local economy every year.

This weekend’s event will start and finish in the grounds of the Peebles Hydro Hotel and will feature local vendors and high end cycle equipment on display from the likes of Whyte, Shimano, and Alpine Bikes. The Hydro hotel will also be putting on a BBQ for all attending.

Race day is this Sunday, with riders practising the course on Saturday, and spectators only need to head up Janet’s Brae a short way to watch the high speed mountain bike action. There are also race stages all over Glentress forest.
