Sport: Swimming

Position/Discipline: All strokes at my age

Club/Team: Kelso ASC and the Borders Elite Swim Team

Coach(es): Alex Jordan/Caroline Brown

Best moment in sport so far: Winning a gold medal at Scottish Nationals in 200m backstroke

Aims for the next 12 months: Hopefully a few PBs in a variety of events and a medal at the British Youths

How does the ASP help you most: Early morning pool access and strength and conditioning training. Also, access to a physio in case I get injured

Who in sport most inspires you: Michael Phelps – because he is the greatest Olympian in history and he is an extremely talented swimmer

Fav sporting moment of all time: Phelps’ 100m fly at the Olympics in 2008 when he won by his fingertips

Best thing about your sport: Competing at different places and seeing all of my friends

... but dislike: Getting up at quarter to five

If not in this sport, would like to compete in: Diving or gymnastics because i think it would be extremely hard work, but it looks dangerous and I think it would be amazing

Usual pre-competition meal: Day before, Pasta & chicken; Morning, Pancakes and smoothie

Food dislikes: Mushrooms, celery and tomatoes

Best motivational song or track: Lose yourself by Eminem

... but turn off/leave the room to: Classical

Competition superstition or odd routine: Always get on the block at the right

When not competing or training I like to: Relax by watching films or listening to music
