DRYDEN Vaulting Group finished in third place in the novice category of the British Equestrian Championships last weekend.

The team of Charlotte Haddon, Rebecca Robertson, Chloe Anderson, Caitlin Branson, Jo Arres, Melissa Whittet and Holly Gray were competing at a new level, having won the British and Scottish titles last year in the pre-novices section.

In the else pas de deux, Chloe Anderson and Jo Arres gained fifth place overall, with Charlotte Haddon and Melissa Whittet taking ninth place, and Rebecca Robertson and Caitlin Branson finishing 10th.

In the individual walk, the Dryden Group took the first two places, with Mia Stewart taking the honours, closely followed by Holly Gray – a great achievement by both vaulters.

In the walk pairs, the two girls gained third spot overall.

The horse for the event, the reliable Private Ryan, was expertly lunged again by Sam Anderson.

The future looks promising for this young team.
