The British Long-distance Orienteering Championships in the Forest of Dean at the weekend provided another weekend of challenging racing for local runners.
In glorious spring sunshine on Saturday the in-form Douglas Tullie pulled out another great run to take third in the 16km Men’s Elite class.
Pauline McAdam on W60 is also going well and finished in a tremendous fourth place, just missing out on a medal.
On Sunday, a team of Sarah McAdam, Pauline McAdam and Lindsey Knox finished 11th in the women’s relay.
Elsewhere, league event number three for 2015 was held at Rockcliffe, near Dalbeattie. Wet and wintry conditions were the order of the day before the sun eventually came out. There were wins for Robin Sloan, Pauline McAdam and Lindsey Knox, a second place for Ian Maxwell and third for Yousuf Khursheed.
