The third of four Aitken Turnbull Border Netball League days was held at the weekend with Berwickshire hosting the event for the first time.

Four scheduled matches for the host team kept them busy, with two wins and two losses giving them a share of the rewards for their efforts. Earlston also tasted victory with both their A and B under-13 teams in fine form to run out convincing winners.

Hawick played matches at both under-13 and under-15 levels, but just could not find the form needed on the day to stay in contention.

Once again the highest scorelines were produced by Peebles, with runaway wins in both their age-group games.

The under-13 league comprises seven teams, with matches played in a round-robin format. The league looks like it is hotting up to a superb finale in Hawick on January 15, with league leaders Peebles drawn against second-placed Earlston A, both teams having won all of their matches to date, but Earlston have one game in hand.

The under-15 league is played in two pools with semi-finals and final. Pool B matches are now complete, with Peebles B and Berwickshire A taking the top spots and going forward to the semi-finals of the championship.
