Hawick rounded off their season with a six-wicket victory over Livingston on Saturday – a feat which means the Teries are promoted to East Division Five.
Opening bowlers Neil Storey and Pierce Solley found the ideal start with a wicket each to reduce the hosts to 33-2.
A partnership of 34 between Jarvis and Anwar rebuilt the home side’s innings before the latter was out after Gary Alexander took a sharp caught-and-bowled opportunity. He then claimed his second wicket in a tight spell (2-14), leaving Livi on 87 for four.
Ronan Alexander got in on the act as he picked up three wickets, including the key scalp of Jarvis, who made a vital 55 for Livingston.
Storey came back into the attack to collect two more wickets, before Morgan Tait helped ensure there was no late flurry towards the end as the home side posted 121 all out.
Hawick got off to the worst possible start in reply as they lost Ronan Alexander in the second over.
Storey and Gary Alexander helped steady the ship and took the score to 28 before the former was caught. Allan Moffat joined Alexander senior and they relieved any pressure during their match-winning partnership of 78 before both batsmen were out with the score on 106.
Euan Hair (11) and skipper Phil Mactaggart (1) got the visitors over the line with plenty time to spare, rounding off what has been a successful campaign for the club.
