Gala beat West Lothian
by Six wkts
Dinesh Tharanga continued his excellent start to the season with the ball with five wickets as Gala recorded their second league win of the season at Meigle Park.
West Lothian started steadily, batting through the first 20 overs and adding 54 runs without loss, but once Tharanga made the initial breakthrough, the home attack met little resistance as the visitors dramatically collapsed to 84 all out. Tharanga took the first four wickets to fall before returning to the attack to take the final wicket for just 15 runs from his 8.3 overs.
In reply, Gala lost Jack Halls in the first over and with Josh Irvine, Duncan Millar and Kris Mein all going cheaply, the home side were looking nervous on 43 for 4. Graeme Ormiston, promoted to open the innings, batted sensibly, though, to steer Gala to victory with an unbeaten 31, receiving solid support from Matt Jones on his debut.
