IT WAS dry at the stock car meeting at the Cowdenbeath Racewall on Saturday night with the fans being treated to plenty of action during a 17 race programme, writes Jim Turner.

Gordon Moodie was using Willie Hardie’s formula II and picked up a couple of wins with it. The prostox had quite a few shunts with Grant Weston having his car badly damaged as it sat on one of the run off spots as Jardine Millar spun and ended up bouncing off his car.

There were a few hard shunts in the stock rods where David Dignan and Scott Naismith came together entering the main straight whilst James Halkett was sent crashing out on the back straight.

This Saturday the main race will be the saloon Scottish Championship with Stuart Shevill Jnr defending his title. The formula IIs are back along with the lightning rods, the minis racing for the final of their Disco trophy and the Junior bangers. As usual it’s a 6.00pm start.
