Stevenson wins the Two Banks

NORHAM Running Club’s annual Two Banks Challenge took place last Thursday.

This race is run on a time trial basis covering 6K in and around Norham village and again proved popular with 35 runners taking part.

This year’s winner was Kelso AC’s Colin Stevenson in 18min 51sec. Colin Welsh from Teviotdale was second in 20.27. Local runner Andrew Skeen was third in 20.49. Kelso’s Keith Lyall was first veteran runner and sixth overall in 21.42.

First female was Wooler’s Pauline Aitchison in an impressive 25.13, 20th overall. First female veteran was Norham’s Hannah Humphries in 26.10.

In the junior section, Berwick Harriers’ Owen Rae made an impressive racing debut covering the 4K course in 17.45 to take first place.
