Souters saved by skipper Banks

Selkirk beat Kirk Brae by six wickets

A magnificent innings of 75 from skipper Rory Banks led Selkirk to an unlikely six-wicket victory over Kirk Brae at Philiphaugh on Saturday.

Chasing a target of 137 runs, Selkirk made a horrendous start at 4 for 3.

But a century stand between Darren Fenton, who finished on 38 not out, and Banks, pulled victory – Selkirk’s third win on the trot, that lifted them to fourth place in Division Three – out of the bag.
