Fjordhus Reivers II7
Reivers II returned to the top of the East Division One league, following their trip to the capital last week.
Having sat out the previous week, Reivers came flying out the blocks, forcing Inverleith into a mistake straight from the pass-back, as Ashley Robson pounced onto a loose pass and played the ball through to sister Sara, who scored within the first 20 seconds.
A second goal soon followed. The Robson siblings hooked up again for Sara to round the keeper and place the ball into an empty goal.
The visitors continued to dominate after the break. Tara Aitchison grabbed Reivers third, with a well-struck shot just inside the D, while Lara Patterson got the fourth from a well-worked long corner.
Reivers defence were as rock solid as usual, but the few chances which did get through saw keeper Stacey Tennant pulling off some great saves. The hosts did pull back a goal from a rebound.
Reivers responded with a goal from Laura Holmes, with Sara Robson finishing off the scoring with strikes six and seven.
Reivers’ fast passing, great teamwork and link-up play throughout proved too strong for the opposition.
Lara Patterson was named Player of the Match.
