Fjordhus Reivers II1
Reivers II looked to continue their winning run last weekend and move a step closer to winning the league title.
Right from the start, it was clear the visitors were happy to play the game out to ensure a draw and, while Reivers created numerous chances in the first half, they could not find a way past the Eskvale keeper.
In the second half, Reivers continued to look for that all-important goal, but any shots on target were well saved by the visiting keeper who seemed to have an answer for everything.
As the game neared the end, the hosts threw everything they had at Eskvale and were rewarded with a penalty corner. Kirsty Sharkey placed the ball at the top of the D, where Ashley Robson was waiting, playing a shot that deflected over the keeper and into the goal.
Reiver’s keeper Stacey Tennant pulled off some fantastic saves late on to make sure her team ran out with the win.
