WITH two games to go it’s neck and neck in the first division as Waverley A and Reivers (formerly Nikis A) are both level after convincing wins.

St Boswells Legion crashed out of the title race, going down to a rejuvenated Bridge A.

The relegation battle is also hotting up after Nikis B snatched a last-rame victory over Red Lion Kelso with both teams fighting to stay up.

Division two saw Fleece hang on to a slender lead as all three top teams won to keep there title hopes alive.

Division Two: Dryburgh (Newtown) 4 Abbotsford (Gala) 7; Kings Arms (Melrose) 3 Fleece (Selkirk) 8; White Swan (Kelso) 5 High Level (Hawick) 6.

The League Triples final at the Bridge on Sunday went to the home side of Gary Loughlin, Arnie Turnbull and Des Turnbull, who won a last-ball decider against holders Scott Simpson, Scott Bowers and Stan Thomson (Niki’s) for a tense 3-2 victory.
