LANGHOLM cricket club celebrated their first season over the Border in the Eden Valley League with promotion to Division Two, and they held an enjoyable end-of-season awards dinner in the clubrooms last Saturday evening.
After a delicious meal, there were speeches from chairman David Pool, captain Duncan Elliott and guest Matthew Burbury from Caldbeck.
Player of the season was Duncan Elliott, who also collected the trophy for most wickets. Players’ player was Ben Maxwell.
Gregor Masterton received the young player and most improved player awards.
The deep fine leg trophy for most runs went to Gregor Park and the most ducks award was shared by Jack Pool and Jamie Ashton-Smith.
