Despite the horrendous weather conditions Sunday delivered, Fjordhus Reivers Ladies thirds recorded an impressive win over their visitors at Tweedbank.

Reivers got under way with an early goal from Imogen Johnstone-Jones after some excellent play from the young Borders side.

Soon after, the home team was rewarded with a short corner which resulted in a second goal coming from Izzy Kyle, after a powerful strike from the top of the circle.

The first half continued to be dominated by Reivers, although they failed to find the back of the net due to some excellent saves from the visiting goal keeper.Reivers continued to exert pressure on the Livingston side after the restart, resulting in, nine more goals. Johnstone-Jones added five more to her tally and Kyle hit the backboard for the second time.

A lovely reverse hit put Reivers another goal ahead, this one scored by Tara Aitchison who later went on to score her second of the game. Finally, Chloe Richardson slotted the ball over the line after some great running.

Livingston and West Lothian struggled to get out of their own half as a result of solid defending from the Borders side.

The youngsters put in an amazing performance and produced a great end to the first half of the season.
