Age: 16

Home Town: Stow

Sport: Judo

Position/Discipline: n/a

Club: Sportif Judo

Coach: Peter Gardiner

Best moment in sport so far: Winning the National Championships at the age band above my own.

Aims for the next 12 months: Scottish and British team selection in 2012.

How does the ASP help you most: Supports in every way, but support in returning from injury has been amazing.

Who in sport most inspires you: Ayumi Tanimoto – Women’s Under 57kg double Olympic judo champion.

Fav sporting moment of all time: Tanimoto throwing Lucie Decosse for ippon in the Under-63kg final at the Beijing Olympics. It came out of nowhere!

Best thing about your sport: Training hard, developing a new technique and then throwing for ippon with the new technique in contest.

... but dislike: Being injured.

If not in this sport, would like to compete in: Boxing.

Usual pre-competition meal: Sushi.

Food dislikes: Kiwi fruit.

Best motivational song or track: R Kelly – The World’s Greatest.

... but turn off/leave the room to: Anything by Adele or Fleetwood Mac.

Competition superstition or odd routine: Just focus on getting the job done.

When not competing or training I like to: Be with friends. Have to study!
