Kelso started strongly on Saturday, holding the majority of possession, and were rewarded with the first goal from a rebound off a penalty corner by Ashleigh Hedderley.

Inverleith kept the pressure up and scored with a rocket of a strike from a penalty corner to level the game.

Kelso had a few runs at goal as the end of the first half drew closer and were greatly disappointed as the whistle blew just seconds before the ball crossed the line.

The hosts started the second half quickly and managed to break through Inverleith’s midfield. Alex Pate made a quick pass up the wing for Becky Gibson to pick up just over the half way line driving towards the D before passing to Jennifer Kinsella who finished of nicely with Kelso’s second goal.

Inverleith fought back and were rewarded by a strike from play which was somewhat lucky to pass the Kelso keeper.

Kelso kept the pressure up and pushed the game toward Inverleith’s goal. Katie Francis passed a great ball into the D for Chloe Gillard to pick up and finish with the final goal of the game.
