Keith Maclure from Tweedbank has completed a challenge of a lifetime by completing the Celtman! Extreme Scottish Triathlon in 16 hours and 43 minutes.
The event incorporates a 3.8km swim in Loch Shieldaig, a 202km cycle route through Wester Ross and a two-part 40km marathon through the Coulin Pass and a mountain section over two Munros.
Maclure, recovering from an Achilles injury, undertook the challenge after months of preparation with the Borders Triathlon Club.
Maclure, who was raising money for Guide Dogs, said: My wife became a puppy walker last year and as we become more involved with the charity, we become increasingly aware of what a life-changing service they provide.”
