Langholm gained their fifth win out of eight league matches played, when they secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Carleton at the Castleholm.
It was the first time this season that the 1st XI had played on a grass wicket at home and the visitors had first use of it.
The Carleton openers made a solid start, but wickets soon began to tumble. In the bowling for Langholm, Steven Johnstone was superb with figures of 5 for 19 off 10 overs and Jack Pool had 3 for 19 to see the visitors all out for 111. In reply, Langholm passed the total for the loss of only three wickets, with Duncan Elliott (55) top scorer.
