After a long journey Reivers National League Ladies came away from Aberdeen with a much needed win last Saturday.

High intensity and individual determination was to the fore and Iona Kellett got the ball rolling when she deftly rounded the home keeper to score an early goal.

Reivers goal keeper Isla Macinnes pulled off some great reaction saves and it was well into the final 15 minutes when the home side pulled a goal back from a fast break. With the scoreline level Wanderers were happy to sit back and claim a draw however Chloe Richardson and Amy Martin had different ideas and continually challenged the home defence resulting in a deflected goal for Tara Aitchison to take the win.

On Sunday Reivers kept up the momentum when hosting Haddington at Tweedbank.

Goals from Pippa Bell, Ashley Robson and Sarah Mathers, with no reply, gave the Borders top team their second win in a busy weekend..

The two victories see Fjordhus Reivers Ladies 1st XI climb to mid table in National Division Two.
