In what was a busy weekend for the various Fjordhus Reivers squads the third XI kept up their recent winning ways when edging a win over Dunbar at Tweedbank.

The hosts started in a strong manner, managing to secure most of the possession and keep their visitors pinned in their own half.

This paid dividends for the Borders outfit who won a penalty corner from which the ball was fired in towards goal and deflected off the stick of a Dunbar player, straight into the net.

The visitors replied to the Reivers goal very strong and managed to get a goal back.

There was some excellent running in midfield from the Reivers team with Dizzy White running along the base line to make a superb pass to Emma Suddon who calmly put the ball into the back of the goal.

The visitors never gave up and managed to win a penalty corner and a straight strike lead to their other goal.

Reivers own never-say-die attitude came through on this occasion and they managed to get the score to 3-2, with White leading the attack again and getting a well-deserved goal for her efforts.

The second half was end to end at times but the Reivers defence put in an excellent shift at the back and managed to keep any attack out for another well deserved win.
