Five Hills race attracts an entry of 23

THERE was an entry of 23 for the Five Hills race at Langholm last Saturday.

Rory Longmuir of Moffat retained the trophy with a time of one hour, nine minutes and 37 seconds on the slightly changed route.

Charlie Borthwick, 1.12.50, and Lawrence Friell, 1.13.26, from Langholm were second and third respectively. First female was Janet Priestley from Annan AC.

The youngest competitor was 31 and the oldest, Jim Buchanan, was 74 and finished 10th.
