PEEBLES NETBALL held its fourth festival for Primary 7 girls in the Tweeddale area at the Gytes on Sunday.
More than 40 young players from seven primary schools across the region took part in mini-games and skills training led by current team members.
The standard of play was high.
Coach Linda Nicholson told TheSouthern: “The festival is always a great event with so many young netballers coming together to play. As usual, the sporting behaviour was great to see, with everyone encouraging their teammates and enjoying playing their sport.
“The standard this year was higher than ever, which will make our job of selecting an S1 team for next season very difficult indeed.”
The netball festival was supported by the community council in Peebles as part of the the town’s Health Week.
