Stuart Easton radiated calm this week as the Hawick British Superbike ace prepares for a storm of expectation when he travels north to Fife circuit Knockhill for round five of the MCE Series this weekend, writes Alexander McLeman.
“If I am honest, I never really head into a race weekend with a huge level of confidence, but this week I am feeling good with how everything has been going,” said Easton, who sits fourth on the overall standings and is hoping to maintain his recent success at his unofficial home circuit.
“There is always a level of expectation on me that I’ll be challenging for podiums at Knockhill and there is a feeling that because it is my home circuit I am the favourite, but I only race here once a year, like the rest of the riders. I don’t have any advantage.
“That being said, I do know that everyone at Knockhill would love to see a Scot win. Hopefully, everything going well, I can maintain my success there and keep my good form rolling.”
