A solid all-round display saw Gala record a 130-run win over 10-man Musselburgh at Meigle Park.
Batting first, all the home batsmen got in, but frustratingly no-one went on to register a big score which would have pushed the home total considerably higher. However, 211 was a solid effort, and proved far too much for the visitors.
Dinesh Tharanga led the way with 42, after Gala had lost two quick wickets to slip to 93 for four, while Graeme Ormiston, David Boland and Kevin Gallagher all passed 20.
Musselburgh were struggling from the moment Ullah was run out trying a risky second run in the second over and Kris Mein took three quick wickets, which, along with a second run-out, saw Musselburgh slump to 29 for five.
Some good resistance from Gatner, Ahmed and Robertson gained some pride for the visitors before Scott Paterson matched Mein with three wickets and Dean Moir came in to dismiss Robertson with his second delivery and end the Musselburgh innings.
