AROUND 185 pupils from eight primary schools competed in the Bowhill Orienteering Event held near Selkirk last week.
A memorable day was had by all with participants learning a great deal from their sessions on map and compass work.
Hugh Robinson and Lewis Murphy from Channelkirk were the fastest pair, by one second, over the 2.3kms course around Bowhill while Lilliesleaf lifted the team trophy.
