Peebles rider Scott Brash claimed victory in the Horse Guards Parade, London, in round 11 of the Global Champions Tour last week – earning £120,000 in the process.

The world number one beat four-time Germany legend Ludger Beerbaum in a jump-off.

Brash, 28, lies in sixth place in the GCT leaderboard with three events left, chasing leader Sweden’s Rolf-Goran Bengtsson.

However, the big London pay packet keeps Brash at the top of the season’s prize money league at just under £500,000.

He is in the GB squad ahead of next month’s World Equestrian Games in Normandy.
