BEST swimmers make a splash at opening East District meet

BORDERS Elite Swimmers (BEST) have begun their season well with a top-notch performance at the East District Age Group Championships.

Competing in the first round at the Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre in Fife the team finished with five gold, one silver, one bronze, and a plethora of top-eight finishes.

BEST performance coach Alex Jordan told The Southern: “The team performed brilliantly at our first major meet of the season.

“The haul of medals and top-eight finishes was a vast improvement on this meet last season.”
