KELSO shot putter Ward Berry has added to his massive medal haul by taking gold at the World Transplant Games in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The local throwing ace, who was named 2010 Roxburgh Sports Personality of the Year, also recorded a new games record with his throw of 11.33m in the 50-59 years age group.
Berry, 57, received his liver transplant in 1998 and has competed in the British games since 2003.
He has been the British champion in his section since that time. Last year he achieved four gold medals in the British Games in Bath, all in throwing events.
In 2008 and 2010 Ward achieved silver medals in the European Games and in 2009 he achieved a gold in the shot putt at the World Games in Brisbane, Australia.
