Adams on top for Tweedsiders

Kelso beat West Lothian by 46 runs

Craig Adams’ knock of 55 was just the foundations required for Kelso’s win over West Lothian in ESCA Division One on Saturday at Shedden Park, a victory which sees them keep their share of top spot with Gala.

Adams was backed up brilliantly by M. Henderson and Greg Davidson, who both recorded 27.

After the alloted 50 overs, the Tweedsiders were 194 runs to the good, for the loss of eight wickets.

In reply, the West Lothian men came up short in their run rate, Ross Paxton taking three wickets for the loss of just six runs.

Paxton took care of West’s two big hitters, J. Strachan and A. Williamson, who scored 31 and 30 respectively.

However, they were only allowed to accumulate 148 runs.

Further wickets came from J. Gibson, Scott Patterson, T.H. Grindell and Davidson.
