Adam first to the tape at Spittal

LAUDERDALE LIMPER Adam Craig won the Youths’ Cross-country at Spittal last weekend.

The 15-year-old, who is also a member of the Tweedbank-based TLJT club, completed the two-mile course ahead of Jacob Adkin and Rowan Marr in 14 minutes and 29 seconds.

Adam, from Lauder, won the youths’ 1,600m at Oxton Games last year and then went on to win the 1,600m at Morebattle from scratch.

TLJT coach Bruce Scott told TheSouthern: “Adam is a runner of note who has put a lot of hard work in over the winter and he is definitely one to look out for this summer.”
