Some of the world's top darts players are coming to Kelso.

Around half a dozen of the world’s top 16 players are expected on Saturday for a pair of tournaments at Springwood in the town.

The afternoon sees the MKM 4 Nations Classic, contested by players from Scotland, Holland, UK and Australia.

In the evening, it’s the Dalgleish Citroen Kelso Masters, a singles tournament featuring Borders league and county players, possibly featuring Ryan Hogarth, against the guest professionals.

Two-time world champion Gary Anderson is among the star names on the bill, along with fellow Scotsman Robert Thornton, Dutchman Raymond van Barneveldt and Australia’s Simon Whitlock.

Paul Nicholson, Mark Webster, Michael Smith and Vincent van der Voort are also expected to round out the star playing line-up on the oche.

In addition, Sky Sports referee George Noble and leading sports MC John McDonald are also due to appear.

Tickets are still available for the spectacular and it’s also possible to pay at the door.
