Vics draw level

SELKIRK VICTORIA notched their fifth draw of the season on Saturday after travelling down the A7 to play Hawick United.

In a hard-fought encounter the Vics drew first blood through a Nathan Douglas headed goal from 20 yards following a corner kick.

United equalised towards the interval when Kevin Strathdee found the net with a shot from the edge of the box.

Following the changeover, Strathdee did the business again after being set up by a Steven Ellins pass.

United kept the pressure on, but the visitors soaked it up and were rewarded 10 minutes from time when Douglas snatched an equaliser from the penalty spot after substitute Ali Orr was brought down in the box.

This weekend the Vics play Tweedmouth Amateurs at Yarrow Park (1.30pm).
