Rovers in seventh heaven

Tweeddale Rovers 7

Gala United 0

TWEEDDALE made hard work of the opening 20 minutes against a hard-working Gala team.

Gareth Smith missed two early chances and the United keeper pulled of some great saves.

However, the hosts took the lead when James Lord met a cross at the back post. Tweeddale’s next two goals came from the penalty spot, courtesy of Nick Rogers – one for a hand ball on the line and the second due to a bad tackle.

Ross Meikle was next on the scoresheet after a mazy dribble and shot.

Rovers dominated the second half and added more goals through James Lord and Gareth Smith. Simon Warren slotted the strike of the match with a tremendous left-foot drive.
